The chat rules have been going through several changes as of late and they seem to be a 'grow as you go' project.

The current set of rules states that all giveaways must be handled in Sales Chat and that Sales Chat posts cannot be advertised in General Chat (Chats A and B)

I propose a change to this situation, as while I understand the reasons behind it, in practice it doesn't seem to be working too well.

Here is my suggestion - and feel free to bring in your own ideas, as this is a community and while we cannot please everyone, we should still be weighing the users heavily in all of these decisions.

I propose that giveaways, trivia contests, riddles and those sorts of things, be sorted into Chat B. Furthermore, that advertising these giveaways be allowed to occur in Chat A, within the limits of the spam rule (no more than once every 15 minutes). One probably wouldn't even need to continue advertising after the first time as lots of people like a good round of trivia.

I feel that this is a much better set up than limiting these things to the Sales chat where I and other users feel they do not fit.
